My favorite images almost always live inside a tension — two seemingly opposing truths. Stillness and movement in the same frame. Chaos and quiet. A girl lost in wonder while the world spins on around her. The moment that feels ordinary until it turns out to have been everything.
I don't plan these photographs. I'm magnetized to them.
i came to this work the long way around
I came to photography through weddings — learning to be still inside a couple's most sacred moments. Then I moved to Brooklyn, had children, and my whole way of seeing the world changed. It felt like going from two dimensions to three.
My daughters are my forever muses. The freckles. The round cheeks. The curiosity. They taught me to devote equal attention to the enormous and the barely-there. A decade in New York gave me room to grow into something I can finally call my own.
I've returned to the South with two instincts I trust equally: the almost-missed moment — and the held one. A child who turns and looks directly at you, completely present.
Both are true. Both are worth the frame.

Not a generic Saturday.
Your best one — the kind that happens maybe six times a year when everything aligns and nobody is rushed and the day just opens up in front of you.
Maybe that's pancakes in pajamas that stretch until noon, a board game that turns competitive in the best way, a backyard sprinkler turned on out of pure necessity.
Maybe it's loading everyone into the car for a trail you've been meaning to hike, a river you keep promising yourselves, a picnic that turns into an afternoon that turns into a sunset nobody planned to stay for.
That is the type of session I want to make with you.
Not uncomfortable clothes and stilted poses. Not everyone assembled on the stairs. I want to see how your family actually moves through the world — the chasing and the stillness, the noise and the quiet, the particular way your people are together when they forget anyone is watching.
